Promising to provide just the right level of clout, Glossier has upgunned its skincare range with a product that claims to be the Solution we've all been waiting (praying) for. Notice the capital 'S'? Yes, the new liquid chemical exfoliator is actually just called Solution, and it's apparently the brand's “most powerful formula yet.”
It contains a blend of three acids: alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) to exfoliate the skin's surface, beta-hydroxy acid (BHA), which helps to unclog pores, and polyhydroxy acid (PHA) to increase potency. Instead of scraping the skin's surface, the chemicals sweep away dead skin cells, meaning no more scrubbing with a ragged old flannel – and definitely no more nasty microbeads.
After cleansing, you simply apply the liquid to a cotton pad and apply all over your face and neck. Contrary to the sensation you might be expecting from applying a cocktail of dissolving chemicals to your face, it doesn't burn – just a little tingle – and it's gentle enough to use every day. Afterwards you apply your serums, moisturizers and what not as usual and let it work its magic.
Solution has already received some rave reviews from the beauty community, with some pretty impressive before-and-after photos. Not only does it work wonders on acne or acne scarring within a matter of weeks, but it evens and brightens the skin tone for non acne sufferers, too.
